Art and DT

Learning for the week of 18th January

In our World War Two topic you have been learning about 'Make do and Mend'. Now it is your turn to get creative using scraps from around the house. Your challenge is to make a toy that an evacuee could take to comfort them. If you would like to try making a sock monkey or one of the attached sock toy patterns, that would be great. You can also design and make your own toy in the spirit of 'Make do and Mend'.

I expect this to take at least a couple of weeks but take as long as you need to get you toy completed.

I have attached a creative art exploration pack from The National Portrait Gallery in London for you to enjoy. Take ownership and decide which projects you would like to explore from the pack.

You will also find some drawing prompt cards to develop your drawing skills.
