Ash
Hello Ash Class,
I hope you enjoyed your Christmas holidays.
At the moment, we will have to stay apart from each other a little longer than planned. This is because there are still some nasty germs around and we need to make sure that everyone stays safe and well. I know this might make us feel a bit sad sometimes but there are lots of people working hard to make sure that we will be able to see each other again soon.
I will be teaching you in a different way than normal but I would still love to hear all about the learning you are doing at home! You can find all the exciting learning on this page. If you would like to share any of the learning you do at home, you can email it to ash@spetisbury.dsat.org.uk.
Please use the weekly plans below. Click on the star for each week to see the timetable and work for the week.
I am missing all of your smiley faces and I hope to see you soon.
Miss Darby :)

LOGINS/SOME USEFUL WEBSITES
Parents,
In your children's yellow reading records are individual logins for Ed Shed and Numbots. If you lose your children's logins or passwords please let me know and I can send those over to you. There are also various educational platforms that are free for you to use (Phonics Play, Twinkl, Classroom Secrets etc). I thoroughly recommend using Phonics Play (your child is familiar with this) to consolidate your child's phonics knowledge. Thanks for your co-operation and support at this challenging time.
Below are the links for some of the sites.

MATHS
For lots of exciting and useful (and free!) maths resources/activities that you could do at home, you may want to ask your parents if they could sign you up for The Maths Factor. Once you follow the link, click on the big green button to sign up.
https://www.themathsfactor.com/
Fancy a challenge? Click here to find lots of different problem solving challenges to have a go at!
I have also put together some practical maths activities that can be done using objects around the house.
See the document below for more information.
OXFORD OWL READING
To access free, online reading books at home (there are loads!) please use the following link, which takes you to the Oxford Owl Reading Tree website. I have set our class up with a class account (see login details below). When on the site click on the pink 'My Class Login' button which will then ask for the following details.
Username: ash.class2020
Password: readingathome
For continuity, you may want to record this in your child's yellow reading records as normal, but you don't have to! Please also remember to read to your child at home like you normally would, as well as hearing them read. Thank you.
KEEPING ACTIVE
For some ideas on how to keep fit and active click on the link. Try to do something every day!
READING/WRITING SUPPORT SHEETS
Your child could use the following sheets to help them with their reading and writing.
