Hi Elm Class,

In most fairy tales, the characters in a book need to solve or overcome a problem but there is always a happy ending where things end up better than they were before.

This is one of those times. For a while, we are going on a journey which means we will need to stay apart until things are made better and we can come back together again.

I know you have heard of the bug that is making people poorly but we have amazing doctors who are working hard to make those people better. The people in charge of the country think they can look after us better and find a cure quicker if we stay apart for a while. So we must be brave and do what they say.

This doesn't mean I won't be here for you and you can't still do some amazing learning every day! I will just be teaching you in a different way for a while so keep checking this page for lots of fun learning you can do at home!

Make sure to look after yourselves and your lovely grown ups. Give lots of cuddles, help around the house and always smile.

Please share your amazing learning with me! You can email

I would love to see what you are up and hear about your days!

Missing you all,

Miss Edmonds
