Prior to 2023
We are proud of the curriculum we offer our children and we enjoy seeing the individual attainment and successes that every child achieves each day. We are also proud that our children achieve so highly in National tests. The children continue to improve throughout school and achieve excellent outcomes, when compared both locally and Nationally, in readiness for their Secondary education.
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, most exams did not take place in 2019/2020 or 2020/2021 academic years. As a result, the most recent comparative data is from 2019. We have reported this below. However, the children did take their end of Key Stage 2 Standardised Assessment Tests (SATs) in 2022. Due to the pandemic, this is not being reported as a comparative measure but we are so proud of our year 6 we are keen to share their performance.
2022 | Expected Standard | Greater Depth |
Reading | 79% | 46% |
Writing* | 75% | 13% |
Maths | 88% | 17% |
Combined (Reading, Writing and Maths) | 75%** | 8% |

** We are delighted with the Combined score for children reaching the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths. Considering the two years of a pandemic that these children faced, it is even more notable that they have reached the highest percentage for the school since the National Curriculum and linked assessments changed as shown below (The National Average for 2022 was 59% and represents a decreasing National trend from 2019):
The government will not publish KS2 school-level data for the 2021 to 2022 academic year. They have archived data from the 2018 to 2019 academic year because they recognise that the data from that year may no longer reflect current performance.
