Welcome to Spetisbury CE Primary School

"They are like trees that grow beside a stream,
that bear fruit at the right time
and whose leaves do not dry up,
they succeed in everything they do.”

    Psalm 1:3

As Headteacher of Spetisbury Church of England Primary School, I’m delighted to welcome you to our school community.

We’re a small school with big ambition—anchored in our Christian values, driven by a love of learning, and built on strong relationships. Our children are at the heart of everything we do. Like the tree in Psalm 1:3, we want them to grow with strength and purpose, rooted in who they are and what they believe, ready to flourish in their own season.

We offer a rich and engaging curriculum that challenges and inspires, alongside a strong pastoral framework that ensures every child feels known, valued and supported. Learning here is about more than progress—it’s about character, confidence and curiosity. From Reception through to Year 6, our children are nurtured to grow into kind, capable individuals who contribute positively to the world around them.

Our beautiful site, excellent facilities, close partnership with our adjoining church and our Treehouse provision enable us to offer high-quality wrap-around care from 7.45am to 6.00pm. It’s a setting that supports busy families while giving children space to thrive.

We are proud of our school: proud of the way our pupils treat one another, of the dedication of our staff team, and of the strength of the community around us. Both Ofsted and SIAMS have recognised our school as ‘Good’, and our ethos shines through in their reflections:

“This has to be one of the best schools I have visited...Pupils are tolerant and respectful..."
    Ofsted, 2017

If you’re considering Spetisbury for your child, we warmly encourage you to come and see us. We’d love to show you what makes this place special—and how we help every child grow, learn and flourish.

    With kindest regards,

    Mr Andrew Brown
