Our Lesson Design:

Our lessons are designed with the view of mastery for all. We scaffold learning to support all learners to access and achieve the content and acquire the knowledge and skills leading to independence over time.

We focus our approach at the planning stage and have set templates that ensure consistency. Below are our templates for Maths, English, the Wider Curriculum and RE:

We place emphasis on assessing where the children are before moving their learning on. We focus on the knowledge and skills they need and will acquire. Vocabulary is a key aspect of these lessons. We plan our questions carefully to probe and check for understanding as well as to predict any misconceptions.
